Haven't been to Little King in 30+ years. I thought the last one was at 48th and Cornhusker and closed a couple years ago. To my surprise, they opened up at a new location at 33rd and Cornhusker.

Swung in for Sunday lunch and ordered their royal treat. The Large combo came in at about $12

The bread was fresh. Meats and cheese were sliced in front of me. Exactly 4 slices of items, no more, no less. The choice of toppings was limited compared to the national franchises.  The sandwich was good.

With the combo. You get a choice of chips, soup or potato salad. I chose the potato salad, it was average at best.   If it wasn't 90 outside, I would have tried their soup.

Like most sandwich shops. It's not worth driving across town for. But if you are nearby, you definitely should consider stopping in

Original Review: Ordered through grubhub. Entire sandwich missing from order, other sandwich messed up. Called store to try to rectify issue and was told no manager on duty. The worker was rude, argued that "100% the order was correct". I asked for refund, I shouldnt have to pay for something I didnt receive, especially now at this point that it was evident I wouldn't be eating dinner for the night. The worker said, "ill just refund the whole thing that's clearly what you want". I asked, may I have some sort of confirmation number or something that shows I've been refunded, at the very least for my missing food and for the extra product missing from our other sandwich? He placed me on hold, came back and told me he actually had no idea how to do a refund, but that his manager would be in in 30 minutes and would call me right away. I got no call, tried to call and got no answer. Called the next day 2 times before anyone actually answered and the manager was rude about it! Said he would figure out a refund only for my sandwich,  and that the worker shouldn't have offered any refunds as it's their policy to send out a coupon not refund back money on orders. Sorry but I dont want a coupon as I have absolutely no intention of ever returning to a place that talks to their customers as rudely as this place does. We had never ate at little kings and never will again. I cant actually say whether the food was good, as I went hungry for the night. My kids ate theirs and didnt complain aside from it was missing the $2 in bacon I paid for but never got. I am extremely appalled at how the whole issue was handled from the order being wrong, to the lack of good customer service from the worker, the assumption that I was out "to get something" out of it (yeah, the food I ordered and paid for so I wouldn't go to bed hungry like I did), right down to the poor management. If you want to be treated like and talked to like crap, order from here. Maybe you'll be more lucky and actually get to eat something.

EDIT AS ASKED FOR BY OWNER SPENCER:
    1. I posted to the incorrect location the first time, I apologize for the confusion, this is for the Cornhusker location, just so we are clear.

    2. He said he wanted me to take down my untruthful review as out of the "honest to goodness of his heart he was going to deliver me free lunch today" and told me so in our call this morning. His actual words to me this morning were, "let me get through lunch and I'll get back to you when I get some time this afternoon" I suppose I should've assumed that him cutting me off and rushing me off the phone after that comment meant he was bringing me free lunch! When I said that he informed me he didnt say it but was thinking it. I guess now not only am I a liar but also a mind reader.

    3. Yet again, he clarified I would get a refund, for the cost of the missing sandwich. $7 and some change on a $42 order. After all this, him saying I'm untruthful (still cannot find in my statement above where any of it's not true), and the badgering of him to take down my Yelp review as it hurts his business, he is still sticking with refunding me back the cost of the sandwich and sending some coupons.

    4. He did let me know he watched the cameras and gave a specific time that he watched them put on bacon, so for that, I will say I am sorry. I didnt eat the sandwich, it was for my kids and they said there wasn't any on there, but I will tell you this: in whatever stretch of the imagination he thought that sandwich they got was worth 12.95 he has lost his dang mind. Barely any meat for a KING CLUB, and after reading more reviews, I'm not the only person that felt the paper thin meat was a RIP off. I'm not surprised they didnt see the bacon, you barely see any meat at all.

So, Spencer, I have reviewed the correct location per your request. I also rectified the ONLY untruth as you say you watched the cameras and it showed the worker putting on the bacon. Too bad your cameras dont have mics because I would love for you to have heard how your employee handled that phone call, made it seem like I was just a habitual complainer "out for free food", and how rudely I was talked to. I sincerely had no idea that you were the owner when I spoke to you this morning, and now that I do that makes me even more angry. For a small business where this is "your livelihood" as you put it several times to me when you badgered me to take down my Yelp review, you may want to consider treating customers more kindly. Out of the honest to goodness of my heart, please keep your coupons. I wouldn't use them if you paid me. And I'll be certain to let everyone I know they shouldnt either.

I hope this satisfies the owners request. I apologize for the confusion on the location.

This place opened up not that long ago.  I've never been to a Little King, didn't even know they were still around.  I went for lunch and I have to say, I'm a fan.  The bread was light and fluffy, I had the Philly Beef, it's not like a traditional Philly, it's roast beef, green peppers, onions, and cheese, melted together, but it was still really good.

Service was friendly and fast, since it's newer, there wasn't too many people crowding the place.  Got two sandwiches, a drink and chips for $13.  The sandwich was better than Subway's, and dare I say it, Jimmy John's.  I'd definitely go back and I'm (sadly) very excited to try their soups in the winter, because not too many places do fast-food soup, at least close to where I am, so their chicken noodle, Wisconsin cheese, and chili sounded good on a cold day!
